Uit onderzoek blijkt dat leren door middel van bewegen zorgt voor het sneller opnemen van de lesstof. Om dit te stimuleren heeft de gemeente alle basisscholen in Eijsden-Margraten voorzien van een pakket beweegstickers van Daily-Moves. De stickers kunnen op verschillende plekken in het schoolgebouw op de vloer geplakt worden. Zo kunnen ze zowel spontaan als tijdens een les gebruikt worden om bijvoorbeeld letters, cijfers en klanken te leren. Wethouder Chris Piatek is erg enthousiast over de stickers: “Leren én bewegen is beide heel belangrijk en door het te combineren wordt het nog leuker!”
Basisschool de Cramignon
Op basisschool de Cramignon in Eijsden worden de stickers al volop gebruikt. Docent gym en beweging Jobbe Steenland heeft speciale ‘bewegend leren kaarten’ gemaakt voor de stickers. Jobbe: “We gebruiken de stickers gericht maar ook vaak spontaan als leerlingen en leerkrachten door de gangen lopen. De beweegstickers zorgen voor plezier en een glimlach bij onze kinderen en leerkrachten”.
